VILLAGE OF SAINT JOHNSVILLE

SOLID WASTE RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE is picked up on Monday. It may be placed at the curb no earlier than 6 p.m. on Sunday in acceptable containers. No more than 5 containers per household.

*Acceptable Containers: Plastic or metal containers with handles, no larger than 42 gallons or 40 pounds or clear plastic bags closed and not torn.

  2 RECYCLABLES are picked up on Thursday. They may be placed at the curb no earlier

than 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

*Recyclables: Glass, Plastic & Cans Must Be Washed And Placed Loose In A Plastic Or Metal Container. Cardboard must be flattened and tied.

3. YARD DEBRIS-Times to be announced. It must be put in acceptable containers, clear plastic bags or tied in bundles 4 feet or shorter and 40 pounds or less.

NO TIRES WILL BE COLLECTED. If you have tires to dispose of, contact the Village Office to obtain a sticker permit. Permits for tires less than 16" cost $5.00 and tires 16" or greater cost $8.00. The Department of Public Works will pick them up.

**The Village will have Two Trash Day Pickups Per Year. One in the spring and one in the fall. Times to be announced.

**These rules for collection of solid waste pertain to waste generated within the Village.
