Built in 1769 by Sir William Johnson, Commissioner of Indian Affairs.

Owned and maintained by the Indian Castle Church Restoration and Preservation Society. The small but elegant, 231 year old church, rests on a gentle knoll with a background of pine trees, and old tombstones. The white church has long kept watch over Mohawk Valley travelers and can be easily seen from the New York State Thruway..

Recent wedding on Feb. 12 at the newly restored church. Contact the church at the above address to make arrangements for any activity you wish to have at the church.

June 2000, new carpeting, thanks to a donation. Now the long skirts will have smooth sliding down the aisle.
